Directory & public listings
Last updated: 28 August 2026
This policy applies to business and operative profiles, directory pages, and other public or semi-public listings on Scaffolder Near Me and related ScaffOps™ surfaces. It supplements our terms of service.
1. Purpose of the directory
The directory helps customers discover scaffolding businesses and operatives by area, services, and public information. Listings may be created or enriched from:
- Information you or your business submit when registering, claiming, or updating a profile
- Publicly available business information (e.g. company name, registered address, website)
- Data derived from your use of the Platform (e.g. coverage areas you configure)
- Content you choose to publish (photos, descriptions, certifications you upload)
2. Licence to display
By submitting profile information or claiming a listing, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt (for formatting and SEO), translate metadata, and display that content on the Platform and in marketing materials reasonably related to the directory, for as long as the listing exists or as needed for archival and legal compliance.
You represent that you have the right to provide the content and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You must not misrepresent qualifications, insurance, CIS status, or trade memberships.
3. Public nature of listings
- Directory pages may be indexed by search engines and visible to anyone on the internet.
- We may show business name, location, services, contact methods you choose to display, and other fields marked as public.
- We do not guarantee placement, ranking, traffic, leads, or commercial results from a listing.
4. Profiles we add without a live account
To improve coverage of the directory, we may create preliminary or unclaimed listings using public information about scaffolding businesses. Such listings:
- Are provided “as is” without warranty of completeness or accuracy
- May be marked as unclaimed or invite the business to take control
- Do not imply endorsement, partnership, or verification unless we explicitly state so
5. Claiming, correcting, and removing listings
- Claim — If you represent a business, you may claim a listing through our claim flow or by contacting us with proof of authority.
- Update — Account holders can edit most profile fields in the dashboard; we may moderate changes that appear misleading or abusive.
- Removal / opt-out — You may request removal or suppression of a directory listing by contacting us with your business details and reason. We will action genuine requests within a reasonable time, subject to:
- Legal obligations to retain certain records
- Need to resolve disputes, fraud investigations, or enforce our terms
- Cached or third-party copies outside our direct control (e.g. search engine cache)
See also our data rights page for GDPR erasure requests.
6. User-generated and third-party content
Reviews, job responses, and similar content may be moderated or removed at our discretion. We are not obliged to monitor all content but may remove material that breaches our acceptable use policy or applicable law.
7. Liability
We are not responsible for errors in public information, outdated listings, or reliance by customers on directory content. Customers and businesses contract directly; the directory is an informational channel only. Liability limits in our terms of service apply.
8. Contact
For directory corrections, claim disputes, or removal requests, use the contact options on scaffoldernearme.co.uk or your ScaffOps account support channel.
