Acceptable use policy

This policy sets rules for using ScaffOps™, Scaffolder Near Me, and related services. It forms part of our terms of service. Breach may lead to suspension, removal of content, or termination without refund.
1. General principles
- Use the Platform lawfully and honestly
- Respect other users, data protection rights, and intellectual property
- Do not undermine security, availability, or integrity of the service
- Comply with scaffolding, construction, tax, employment, and health & safety laws that apply to you
2. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent job posts, quotes, profiles, or credentials
- Impersonate another person or business, or claim listings you are not authorised to manage
- Harass, threaten, discriminate, or publish unlawful or offensive content
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-harvest data except via documented APIs we provide
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code except where law permits
- Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or billing
- Upload malware, perform penetration tests without written permission, or launch denial-of-service attacks
- Use the Platform for spam, pyramid schemes, or unrelated advertising
- Misuse AI or automation to generate abusive, deceptive, or illegal content
- Process special-category personal data without a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards
3. Marketplace and quotes
- Job posts must describe genuine scaffolding requirements
- Quotes must reflect honest pricing and scope; bait-and-switch or hidden fees are prohibited
- Do not share customer contact details outside the Platform to avoid fees where our terms require platform use
- Do not manipulate reviews, rankings, or lead allocation
4. Directory and public profiles
- Do not claim false certifications, insurance, or trade body memberships
- Do not use another business's name, logo, or photos without permission
- Follow our directory policy for removals and disputes
5. Compliance content (RAMS, handovers, inspections)
Tools that help produce RAMS, handovers, or inspection records are aids only. You remain responsible for site-specific risk assessment, competent persons, and statutory duties under CDM, WAHR, and other applicable regulations. Do not treat generated documents as automatically sufficient for your site.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate reports, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or report conduct to authorities. We are not obliged to monitor all activity. Our decisions on enforcement are at our reasonable discretion.
7. Reporting abuse
Report suspected abuse via support channels on scaffoldernearme.co.uk or through your ScaffOps account. Include URLs, account identifiers, and a clear description.
